This game asset, rendered in Unreal Engine 5, is part of a project I'm currently working on. The Winchester rifle in the game can receive various upgrades, with this particular one being a shock upgrade. When crafted within the game, it allows the rifle to fire a powerful lightning rod that chains across multiple enemies. The asset is designed for a top-down prototype.
Workflow: The low and high poly models were created in Maya, then baked and textured using Adobe Substance Painter. The asset is showcased in Unreal Engine, representing the visual experience the player will have in the game. No particle effects have been added at this stage; instead, I opted to use procedural shaders to simulate the lightning effect, prioritizing performance.
